The very first X-Men: Days of Future Past – Rogue Cut clip surfaced yesterday, but we’ve already got another one to share. Rather than focus on Rogue’s (Anna Paquin) nixed material, this video features Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) getting their romance on. It’s a super sweet moment, but considering X-Men: First Class already established that the two strike a connection partially because they both can’t show off who they really are in public, it makes sense that Bryan Singer opted to cut this out. Plus, back in October, Hoult pointed out to MTV that it just didn’t make sense to have Beast and Mystique enjoy some sexy time when the world could come to an end:
“Why [Mystique and Beast] would be here when the world’s about to end and then we’ve nipped home quickly to have a good night’s sleep. So everyone was like, ‘Well, we can’t really do that.’”
You can check out the latest X-Men: Days of Future Past – Rogue Cut clip for yourself below. The film hits Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on July 14th, but if you’d like to catch the film early at San Diego Comic-Con, you can enter to win passes to the July 11th screening at the Reading Gaslamp Cinema right here.
