You can now play next-gen games on previous-gen versions of the Xbox console, as Microsoft has unveiled cloud gaming support for its consoles. The features might remain currently inaccessible for some users, as Microsoft said it will "roll out with our November release to a subset of Xbox" but you can expect the support to fully drop within the next few weeks. However, the feature will only be available for those with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

The Xbox Cloud Gaming feature on the Xbox console will make it possible for users to try various games without having to download them entirely, assuming that you have a very smooth internet connection. Along with saving space, it will also enable players from previous generations to stream games that are exclusively available for next-gen Xbox. This means you can now play Recompile, The Medium, and The Riftbreaker on your Xbox One.

Microsoft has also confirmed that they will add more next-gen games to their cloud gaming library, with Microsoft Flight Simulator to be made available in early 2022. The cloud gaming service was previously made available on the Windows PC through the Xbox App, and is already available for Windows and iOS devices through their cloud gaming website.

The cloud gaming support isn't yet available for everyone, as it is only available for 25 countries. While it is releasing soon in Brazil, you can check whether your country is supported on the Xbox service availability page. Microsoft also recently expanded the Xbox backward compatibility library by over 70 games. You can now stream all of that, as well as the entire Xbox Game Pass library, without having to worry about storage. Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S console users with the Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
