Alchemy has released the first official trailer for Zipper, Mora Wilson‘s (Conventioneers) political thriller about an inspirational and publicly revered politician, Sam Ellis (Patrick Wilson), who’s seemingly on a non-stop trajectory to the top. Only there’s a small issue – Sam has a “zipper problem”, which is to say he can’t stop deep dicking women who aren’t his wife (Lena Heady). His addiction these affairs threatens to unravel his home life, and bring his political career tumbling down alongside his marriage.
Wilson is absolutely perfect for this kind of role. He’s got the charisma of a politician, the sensitivity of a family man, and the allure to pull off what seems like a goodly number of sexy liaisons. Plus, he’s just a damn fine actor, so if the film delivers on its set up, Zipper could be a fascinating and humanized look at the self-destructive tendencies of men who seem to have it all.
Zipper also stars tarring Dianna Agron, Ray Winstone, John Cho and Richard Dreyfuss, and arrives in theaters and On Demand August 28th. Check out the new trailer and a few new images below, or click over to Apple to watch in HD.
